Bottled
2015 // video // 07:50 min loop
Lifeless bottles with living hands are holding the windows open in Nymann’s video Bottled. Emerging in different shades of grey, the abandoned and desolate buildings bring forth themes of loneliness, longing, confinement, and entrapment.
In an alternation between watching these buildings from the outside and watching the outside from inside them, the viewer is left to reflect over the differences between being dead or alive, being inside or outside, being watched or watching.
